An Intraoral scanner is a device used to capture direct optical impressions of your mouth. It is the new way that we can see your mouth in a digital format! Not only do you not deal with sticky impressions, but it allows our dentist a more accurate view of your dental structure for precise treatment planning. The intraoral scanner allowed the elimination of the classic impression, an unpleasant step for the patient, but necessary, whenever a prosthetic work is carried out (crowns, veneers, bridges, etc.). Patients with a strong gag reflex can now breathe easy, as the scanner is a much more comfortable solution than the classic teeth impression for the patient.
By directly scanning the patient’s dentition, we have the possibility of using a completely digital workflow, starting from the intraoral scan and ending with the cementing of the final work. Thus, the risk of a human error is greatly reduced, since the doctor can analyze the result immediately after the scan, and the scan arrives immediately in digital format, without alterations, in the dental laboratory, unlike the physical impression where changes may occur with the reduction of precision due to handling, transport and storage.
Digital x-rays are safer and more efficient than their traditional counterparts. Thanks to digital technology, patients who receive x-rays with us will experience much lower levels of radiation during the process than they would have with traditional x-rays.
Imaging with digital x-rays is clear, easy to save and duplicate, and easy to electronically transport from location to location. The result is easier to understand x-rays with far fewer strings and inconveniences attached than ever before.
Lasers can perform all kinds of functions in the dentist’s office. They can be extremely effective at cleaning and sanitizing teeth, particularly during treatments like root canal procedures. Lasers can also be used to reshape gums if patients are interested in a less “gummy” smile.
Dental lasers work extremely well with soft tissues in general. When your dentist uses lasers to help contour gums or repair lesions in the mouth, you can expect reduced discomfort and bleeding and a faster healing time.
Piezoelectric technology has become the treatment of choice for delicate surgical bone grafting procedures. Our trained doctors are using this innovative technology in lieu of the “drill” to make extremely precise and very gentle, minimally invasive incisions into bone. The Piezo surgery system essentially vibrates at a high frequency which does not effect or damage the soft tissue, leaving the delicate gum tissue and surrounding nerves unharmed while using sterile saline to cool the area and remodel the bone.
This technology is the safest means in which to remove a tooth, hidden or damaged root tips from a previous extraction done elsewhere, to prepare bone grafts and sites for dental implants. Since it will not injure soft tissues such as gum and nerves, it is a wonderful minimally invasive option to tooth removal.
It uses Guided Biofilm Therapy, which is the latest technology in preventative dental care.
Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) uses advanced tools to get rid of biofilm or bacterial deposits on the surfaces of the teeth. It discloses the location of the plaque, making it easier and faster to remove. The traditional methods involved manual (hand) and ultrasonic (electronic) instruments. GBT, on the other hand, uses Airflow technology that delivers deeper cleaning without directly touching the teeth and gums.

Osstell’s patented technology uses Resonance Frequency Analysis (RFA) that measures the frequency with which a device vibrates. By comparing resonance frequencies, the stability of a dental implant can be determined as the resonance frequency changes with different stabilities. ISQ, or Implant Stability Quotient, is a scale from 1 to 100 and is a measure of the stability of an implant.
The ISQ scale has a non-linear correlation to micro mobility. With more than 1400 scientific references, we now know that high stability means >70 ISQ, between 60-69 is medium stability and < 60 ISQ is considered as low stability.
